LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Not enough is said about fallen, veterans in community building’s renovation

First, let me say that the public response to the remodeling of the Lake Community Memorial Building has been unprecedented.

When completed, Lake City will have added a new gem to our already praiseworthy town.

Second, let me say that there has not been enough said about the Gold Star “fallen” veterans of whom this building was, and is, built for. After World War I, patriotism was born in the United States and our Veterans Memorial Building was painstakingly built, during difficult times, to honor Lake City’s war dead.
