Board of Supervisors overhear budget requests, approve Finisher Farm expansion

The Calhoun County Board of Supervisors continued to overhear budget requests as well as getting updated on the status of secondary road projects and approving an expansion for the Farnhamville Finisher Farm in a weekly meeting held on Jan. 29 at the Calhoun County Courthouse in Rockwell City.
Following public comments, the supervisors met with County Engineer Zac Andersen, who updated the board on secondary road projects alongside Maintenance Superintendent BJ Musselman and Mike Moeller, Assistant to Engineer, Safety Officer/Zoning and Flood Plain Administrator were also present.
EMA Director and E911 Director Steve O’Connor presented his budgets for the fiscal year of 2019-2020, before VA Director Rich Shinn presented the budget requests for the upcoming fiscal year, as well.
