Dylan Forkner is a 22-year-old still finishing college at Grandview University with roots in the area and eagerness to serve his new community, and he was recently announced as the newest addition to the Lake City police force.
He’ll start work this week. Forkner grew up in Paton and graduated from Jefferson- Scranton High School, and most of his family has stayed in that area.
“I like to make a difference in people’s lives, I guess you could say. Lake City kind of drew me (in) because it’s close to home and close to family, and I like to be around my family,” he said.
