ISU program teaches kids kitchen safety, how to make healthy snacks

Many of the children attending a Kids in the Kitchen program in Rockwell City Aug. 3 had some cooking experience already – everything from baking cookies to making pizza.
But the Iowa State University Extension program taught them a few new things, including recipes they said they would make again.
“We bananas with yogurt (and strawberries and granola) – a breakfast split,” Ryann Hungate said. “It’s really good.”
She would make that treat again.
