SCC baseball team picks up two more wins

It was another busy week for the South Central Calhoun varsity baseball team last week as the Titans finished the week with a 2-3 record to move to 6-7 overall. SCC opened the week with a 19-5 loss in five innings at home to Manson Northwest Webster Monday, June 5 in conference play. SCC’s first victory of the week came at Gilmore City Wednesday, June 7 as the Titans defeated West Bend-Mallard 14-3 in five innings in Twin Lakes Conference play as SCC moved to 2-2 overall in the league.
In the other three contests last week, SCC saw action against three non-conference foes as the Titans lost 3-0 at Story City versus Roland-Story Tuesday, June 6, then SCC traveled to Oelwein Saturday, June 11, and the Titans went 1-1 on the day defeating Starmont 18-2 in five innings and then falling to host Oelwein 14-6.
