Family Crisis Centers officials want Calhoun County residents to be aware of the many services the organization provides.
One of the biggest services, Tami Trimble said, is the 24-hour crisis line. People who are in a situation involving domestic violence can reach a counselor by calling 1-800-382-5603.
“We mainly help people in crisis-type situations or (people) who want to learn more about domestic violence,” Trimble said. “We do crisis counseling. We give basic information about the court process.”
Family Crisis Centers offers transportation to and from court hearings for victims of violence and can help a victim find a shelter. The organization can also put victims in touch with therapists and counselors, Trimble said.
