If you have a tractor, plenty of gas in the tank and want to spend a Saturday joyriding through the countryside, there’s something right up your alley.

Starting at 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, tractor enthusiasts and local farmers alike will have the opportunity to hop on their favorite piece of rural equipment and traverse the western side of Calhoun County and a little piece of Sac County.

All types of tractors are welcome to take part in the ride, and tractors can be unloaded or parked at the Landis Elevator in Yetter.

From 11:30 p.m. to noon, there will be lunch at Yetter City Park, before the ride takes off for Rainbow Bend County Park at 12:15 p.m. Along the way, the caravan will pass by the Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City.

Once the tractor ride reaches Rainbow Bend, home of the famous Rainbow Arch Bridge, the caravan will turn west to Grant County Park, located northwest of Auburn. Then, the joyride will roll back to Yetter to finish up the day.

The round trip is calculated at 30 miles. Tractors are advised to have a minimum of 14 miles per hour.
