Titan grapplers tab three of four at SCC Dual Tourney

In preparation for the Class 1A, Sectional 11 Wrestling Meet on Feb. 2 in Mapleton, the South Central Calhoun varsity wrestling team honored its seniors in front of the hometown crowd and got to work on the mat.
The No. 16-ranked (Class 1A) Titans fared well in their weekend tune-up, winning three of their four allotted duals at the 19th Annual South Central Calhoun Dual Tournament, held on Saturday at the SCC Middle School Gym in Rockwell City.
The Titans started off the day in style, dominating Lawton- Bronson 71-12 before shutting out St. Edmond via a 78-0 result. SCC then defeated West Monona 52-18, before falling to Gilbert in a competitive 39-27 dual to conclude the meet.
