Titan girls compete at BVU Indoor

South Central Calhoun’s girls track team had five top 10 performances at the 2017 Buena Vista University Indoor track and field meet held Friday, March 17, in Storm Lake.
Allison Birks placed second in the 60 meter dash in 8.32 seconds while teammate Keagan King was ninth in the event in 8.69.
The Titans A squad in the 4x400 relay was eighth overall as the team of Sydney Batz, Emma McKinney, Megan Hardy and Birks finished in 4:37.60.
In the field events, SCC’s Kim Daisy placed fifth with a toss of 35-feet, 9-inches in the shot put while teammate Kaylynn Ridgely was sixth overall in the long jump with a leap of 14-10.
