Some of Sweet Corn Daze’s youngest attendees will have the chance to test out a new event at this year’s festival, set for Saturday around the Calhoun County Courthouse square in Rockwell City.
“I’m probably most excited about the pedal tractor races,” event organizer Theresa Hildreth said.
The Rockwell City Chamber and Development purchased three pedal tractors, which will allow the races, for children 3 to 6 years old, to continue annually.
Kids can also check out the bounce houses, which will be run by a different vendor this year, Hildreth said. There will be a traditional bounce house for younger children, and an inflatable boot camp challenge for older kids.
