Steinborn named to IBCA All-District squad

South Central Calhoun senior pitcher earned first-team all-district baseball honors in the Northwest District as the Iowa Baseball Coaches Association recently released its all-district squads following the 2018 baseball season. Steinborn was joined by Alex Snyder of Alta-Aurelia, Noah Van’t Hof of West Lyons and Trey Jacobson of Estherville-Lincoln Central as first-team all-NW district pitchers. Other players from the Twin Lakes Conference named to the all-NW district team in 2018 included first-teamers Jace Davidson of Pocahontas Area and Kaleb Sleezer of Alta-Aurelia, and second-teamers Nolan Johnson of Southeast Valley, Nick Schany of Emmetsburg, Logan McCoy of Alta-Aurelia, Chase Boeve of Pocahontas Area and Aric Stephan of Alta-Aurelia.
