SCC softball team goes 2-2 last week

South Central Calhoun’s varsity softball team went 2-2 last week and is now 5-8 overall and 5-3 in Twin Lakes Conference play. SCC opened the week with a conference contest Monday, June 11 in Alta, and lost to Alta-Aurelia 12-0 in four innings. SCC then hosted Pocahontas Area in a TLC showdown and edged the Indians 10-9 in Lytton Wednesday, June 13. SCC headed to Battle Creek Thursday, June 14 and lost to OA-BCIG by an 8-3 final while the Titans concluded the week with a 11-9 victory over East Sac County in Wall Lake Friday, June 15.

Sally Musselman went the distance against East Sac County for the conference win in Wall Lake Friday, June 15. She allowed eight hits and three earned runs against the Raiders while surrendering no walks and striking out six batters.
