SCC softball team beats MNW, WBM

South Central Calhoun’s varsity softball team went 2-1 last week in Twin Lakes Conference action on the softball diamond as the team picked up victories over Manson Northwest Webster, a 6-5 victory, and West Bend-Mallard, a 4-0 triumph, while its lone loss of the week was to Emmetsburg, a 11-1 loss in six innings.
SCC is now 3-6 overall and resumes action Monday, June 11 in Alta against No. 5 Alta-Aurelia in TLC play this week. SCC will host Pocahontas Area Wednesday, June 13 in conference play and then head to Battle Creek Thursday, June 14 for non-conference action against OA-BCIG. This week wraps up with a conference contest against East Sac County in Wall Lake.
Next week, SCC will be at home against St. Mary’s Monday, June 18, while traveling to Fonda Wednesday, June 20 to take on Newell-Fonda, with the week of games ending Friday, June 22 in Lytton against Southeast Valley.
