This past week was one of pleasant revelations for the South Central Calhoun softball team. The Titans had put together a nice winning streak, and found out where they will be going to for their regional tournament.
Even better, the Titans will begin the playoffs at home.
SCC found out what their postseason fate would be in a release by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Association on June 26, beginning with a home date against Manson-Northwest Webster in a Class 2A-Region 5 quarterfinal matchup at 7 p.m. on July 10 at the Titan Diamond at the SCC Summer Sports Complex in Lytton.
In their previous meeting with the Cougars, the Titans rallied back three times before capturing a 9-6 victory on June 3 at the Titan Diamond. It was the lone encountered between the two Calhoun County-based squads in the 2019 regular season.
