SCC softball begins post-season at home

Post-season play for the South Central Calhoun varsity softball team begins this week as the Titans (5-13) will host Woodward-Granger Monday, July 2, in Lytton in Class 2A, Region 2 play at 7 p.m.
The winner of the opening round contest will advance to play against Ogden at Ogden Tuesday, July 3 at 7 p.m. with the winner of that contest advancing to the Region 3 regional semifinal round in Ogden later this week on Friday, July 6 at 7 p.m..
Last week, the Titans closed out the regular season Friday, June 29 in Lytton against East Sac County and fell by a 2-1 final. Earlier last week, SCC fell to Storm Lake in Lytton Thursday, June 28 by a 11-1 final and on June 27, SCC closed out the Twin Lakes Conference season at 5-6 as the Titans fell at Fonda to Newell-Fonda by a 12-0 final in three innings Wednesday, June 27.
