SCC seniors honored with scholarships

Ninety percent of the South Central Calhoun High School graduating class is headed to some form of post-secondary education, Principal Randy Martin told students, parents and community members Sunday night.
Addressing people gathered in the school’s auditorium for Senior Awards Night, Martin and athletic director Mark Schaefer lauded the class of 2016 for their academic, athletic and personal accomplishments.
“Seniors, you are very special people,” Martin said. “However, you are also just a speck of dust in the universe. You have been in a small community. You have succeeded in a lot of ways.”
