SCC girls win twice more

South Central Calhoun’s varsity girls basketball remained undefeated this past week after picking up victories over Humboldt and Alta-Aurelia. SCC knocked off Humboldt Tuesday, Jan. 9 in Humboldt by a 58-38 final and topped Alta-Aurelia in a Twin Lakes Conference contest Friday, Jan. 12 in Rockwell City by a 59-46 triumph. The Titans are now 14-0 overall and are 5-0 in TLC play.
Against Humboldt, Maddie Jones scored 23 points on 11-for-13 shooting, and collected six steals, five assists and three rebounds against the Wildcats.
Teammate Heidi Hammen was second in scoring against Humboldt with nine while Hannah Seil added eight points and Brielle Korleski scored seven.
Emma McKinney had five points, six assists, five rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots in the win at Humboldt.
