SCC girls third overall at 2018 Yunek Relays

South Central Calhoun closed out its home track season Friday, May 4 at the 2018 Jim Yunek Co-Ed Relays and the Titans varsity girls track squad placed third overall at its meet in Lake City with 82 points. Meet champion was Southeast Valley with 151 points while Pocahontas Area was second with 89.
Among the top performances for the Titans girls at its home meet were Kim Daisy winning the shot put competition with a toss of 34-feet, 2-inches, and the shuttle hurdle relay team of Jessica Hicks, Kortney Riley, Raegen Welander and Arianna Kistler taking home first place in 1 minute, 15.5 seconds.
Second-place medals for SCC were earned by the 4x200 relay team of Hicks, Emma McKinney, Drew Pochinski and Maddie Jones in 1:55.90 and the 4x800 relay team of Brielle Korleski, Lauren Ukena, Meghan Dietrich and Ashley Hanks in 11:26.08.
The Titans’ 4x100 relay team of Hicks, McKinney, Pochinski and Jones was third in 54.65 while Erin Shinn was third in the long jump with a jump of 14-6.5, Keagan King was third in the 100 meter dash in 13.58 and Kaylynn Ridgely was third in the high jump with a leap of 5-0.
