SCC girls fall at home to Raiders in golf

South Central Calhoun’s girls golf team finished off a busy week last week by hosting East Sac County in a varsity conference dual meet Thursday, May 4 at the Lake City Country Club and the Raiders topped the Titans 205 to 235.
SCC’s Tiffany Poen scored the lowest score of the day for the Titans with a 57. Teammates Kelsi Carlson and Payton Macke both had a 59 while Vanessa Squier and Kenzie Addison both finished with a 60 and Kaylynn Kruckenberg of SCC finished with a 65. Meet medalist was Riley Fischer of ESC with a 47 while Kayla Kraft was runner-up for the Raiders with a 49.
In action at the 2017 Twin Lakes Conference Tournament held at the Lake Creek Country Club west of Storm Lake Wednesday, May 3, a pair of Titans earned all-conference honors as SCC was sixth overall as a team with an 18-hole total of 472 strokes. Earning TLC honors for SCC were Kelsi Carlson with a 101, which was tied for fifth on the leader board, and Tiffany Poen, who was 14th with a 110.
