SCC garners three Division I ratings, two Division II ratings at State Large Group Speech

The South Central Calhoun Large Group Speech team had a busy day this past weekend, participating in the State Large Group Speech competition on Feb. 2 at Spencer High School in Spencer.
Overall, SCC brought in three Division I ratings and two Division II ratings.
The two short films by SCC, titled “8 Bad Dates” and “It’s Going Down” had Division I marks, alongside “The Plot to Assassinate the Chase Manhattan Bank” in Reader’s Theatre.
The two short films will advance to the All-State Festival Large Group speech competition, set for Feb. 16 at the Iowa State Center in Ames.
