SCC baseball team now 3-5 overall

The South Central Calhoun Titans varsity baseball team closed out a busy week of contests Saturday, June 2 at the Newell-Fonda Tournament, were they went 0-2 and moved to 3-5 overall for the 2018 season.
SCC took on Newell-Fonda and lost by a 12-2 final in five innings, where the Titans had five hits as a team. The Titans scored a run in the first and once again in the fifth against the Mustangs.
Jared Birks took the loss against the Mustangs, as he went one inning and allowed four hits and four earned runs while walking one. Also pitching against N-F were Bennett Lee and Heath Walters. Lee went 2.1 innings and allowed two earned runs on one hit and one walk while finishing with one strikeout. Walters went 1.2 innings and allowed six hits, six earned runs and allowed four walks.
