Rockwell City Council turns away bids on vacant buildings

The Rockwell City Council earlier this month rejected bids for three vacant, city-owned buildings.
Rockwell City Mayor Phil Heinlen said the city opted against the bids partly because the bids received did not follow guidelines the city had requested for interested buyers. Suggestions included timetables of work progression and a financial plan, among others.
“That would show that they’re serious,” he said. “We were asking for that and didn’t get a lot of that at all.”
