Relay for Life takes to the square

Dozens of cancer survivors, supported by hundreds of family and friends, took to the Rockwell City square Thursday for the annual Relay for Life.
The event is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society and celebrates those who beaten cancer, supports those are battling it and remembers those who have died of the disease.
Shelly Teague, a Calhoun County resident, gave an inspirational message to people who have cancer.
“To everyone out there who has fought or is still fighting, we can beat this,” Teague said. “We will never look back, only forward.”
Teague, who works for Calhoun County, has survived breast cancer twice.
“We will love and cherish life to the fullest,” she said.
