Moon wins title at 2018 TLC meet

South Central Calhoun’s Spencer Moon earned his second straight individual varsity boys cross country conference meet title at the 2018 Twin Lakes Conference Cross Country meet championships held Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Alta Golf Course in Alta.
For SCC overall, the Titans cross country teams captured four individual meet championships on the day including Moon in the varsity boys race, Lauren Ukena in the junior varsity girls race, Justin Hanks in the middle school boys race and Chloe Judisch in the middle school girls race.
In addition, the SCC varsity girls team brought home second place overall as a team with 61 points led by freshman Alexia Nelson, who placed third in the varsity girls race. Moon was 30 seconds faster than any other varsity competitor in the varsity boys race as he finished in 17 minutes, 14.36 seconds. Overall, SCC’s varsity boys team placed sixth with 125 points as Sioux Central won the varsity boys team championship with 60 points.
