Midde school tests STEM ideas with Halloween tools

SCC Middle School students tried their hands at a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math projects last week. The tasks were themed around Halloween -- building towers with toothpicks and candy corn, building supports for pumpkins and constructing a catapult with spoons, rubber bands and tongue depressors to launch a candy pumpkin across the room.
