Historic Central School remains important to Lake City
The words shocked me. “Do we just shut down Central School?”
It was one of the ideas mentioned to my fellow board members at Central School Preservation (CSP) in Lake City as we assess the museum’s future.
As the new president of the CSP board, I’ve been thinking a lot about this. I’m not alone. A recent New York Times headline asked, “Are Museums Still Important in the Digital Age?”
I say yes. In fact, they are more relevant than ever.
