To a high school wrestler, it’s a goal to make the leap into the collegiate ranks. Whether it is to a Division I program or a local junior college, it’s always a big step in the right direction.

It’s no different for South Central Calhoun senior wrestler Kody Kutz.

Next fall, Kutz will take part in the best circuit of junior colleges in the nation in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference by joining the Iowa Lakes Community College wrestling program in a March 22 announcement on Instagram.

Kutz, who was the Titans’ representative in the 285 lbs. subdivision, capped his senior season with a 30-13 record.
