Kay Hunt

Kay Hunt, 88, died on Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 at the United Methodist Church in Lanesboro with Pastor Lorinda Hoover officiating and burial in the Lanesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City.

Amy Kay Remsburg was born on April 8, 1933, in Calhoun County, to Charles Craig and Enid (Coones) Remsburg. She graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1951. On February 23, 1951, Kay married Edgar Hunt in Jackson, Minnesota and together they celebrated 70 years of marriage. She worked at GE for 20 years before retiring in 1992. Kay was a member of the Lanesboro United Methodist Church and Joy Circle, and enjoyed flowers and gardening.

Kay is survived by her husband Edgar of Lanesboro; son Darrell Hunt (Diane Abbott) of Des Moines; daughter Darlene (Romayne) Wenck of Glidden; 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother Randy (Marlene) Remsburg of Audubon and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sons Craig Edward and Gary Lee; sisters Peggy McClue, Doris Stokes, Marilyn Harms and Verla Gleason Kopf; and brothers Bud Remsburg and Galen Remsburg.
