Iowa Economic Development provides assessment of Rockwell City

A recurring theme Iowa Economic Development Authority representatives heard on a recent tour of Rockwell City was how the town has a graying population.
But, the economic development specialists said they got a different impression of the town. For one, they said, about 20 percent of the city’s population is between 19 and 44 years old. Secondly, they said, they met more than one business owner in town who is younger than 40. The next step, they said, is to engage those younger residents and entrepreneurs in economic development activities.
