Over the course of the 2019 regular season, the South Central Calhoun baseball team has faced more than its fair share of tough opponents. However, the Titans have either come out on the winning side of such contests, or were competitive in their not-so-fortunate outings.
Fortunately for SCC, the path to the district title is not a treacherous one. In fact, the Titans begin their postseason journey with a homefield advantage.
Released on June 26 by the Iowa High School Athletic Association, the Titans will start their potential run in the Class 2A-District 13 Tournament with a visit from East Sac County. The first round contest between SCC and the Raiders will begin at 7 p.m. on July 13 at The Ball Park in Lytton.
The rubber match between SCC and ESC is the nightcap of a Twin Lakes Conference-themed doubleheader, as Southeast Valley and Manson-Northwest Webster are set to collide at 5 p.m. at The Ball Park in Lytton.
