The Graphic-Advocate issues statement on COVID-19

To our subscribers and supporters,

Regardless of crisis or triumph, there is a popular saying when passing through a rough stretch or when reaching the pinnacle of achievement: We wouldn’t be able to do this without you.

Those words carry greater truth and meaning today, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since its emergence in the city of Wuhan in the Hubei Province of China, COVID-19 has spread all over the globe – including our part of the world in Iowa.

We at The Graphic-Advocate believe that trusted, credible and relevant information is vital, especially in this day and age. Our overall mission is to present stories and information as accurately as possible. In a very surreal time, we want to balance facts with context, not only for this present time, but also for prosperity.

As important information from our school district, county authorities and other facets of our community are released, we will aim to relay that information on our Facebook page and on our website, www.thegraphic-advocate.com, as soon as that information is available.

Our greater family, Mid-America Publishing and Printing, has encouraged the staffs of our sister publications to work from home should they feel the need to. It is to protect our staff members and to flatten the curve related to the spread of COVID-19.

We want you to know that our staff is committed to serving you and your family during this challenging time, and we want to thank you dearly for your continued support of local journalism.
