CFR asks Calhoun County for $23,000 donation to fund new treatment center
Officials with a Fort Dodge-based substance abuse and mental health treatment center are hoping member counties – including Calhoun County – will contribute funding for a centralized campus.
The new facility will include more than a dozen additional spaces in Community Family Resources’ inpatient recovery program, Executive Director Michelle Delariva told the Board of Supervisors Nov. 28.
Of the $6.6 million needed for the project, Deliriva said she expects about $2 million to come from member counties; each county’s recommended donation is based on population and spread out over five years. She asked the Calhoun County Board of Supervisors to donate about $23,000, or $4,600 per year for the next five years. The remainder of the project cost will come from CFR’s own savings and bank financing.
