Calhoun County Extension to hold Private Pesticide Applicators Instruction Course

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, Calhoun County office would like to advise private pesticide applicators of the continuing instructional course, starting at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 406 East Street in Pomeroy. 

According to the Nov. 13 news release, Angie Rieck-Hinz, ISU Extension and Outreach Field Agronomist will conduct the training.

Pre-registration is not required. Cost of the training program is payable at the door.

If you are not able to attend the course in December, the same training will also be held at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 3, 2020, at the United Methodist Church in Rockwell City and at 7 p.m. on March 10, 2020 at the Landus Cooperative Community Room in Farnhamville.

Iowa private pesticide applicators can also receive recertification credit by attending a Crop Advantage meeting. There is no additional fee for private pesticide applicator recertification but applicators must attend the entire meeting to receive credit.  PSEP fees are included with the Crop Advantage registration cost. 

Locally, Crop Advantage is Jan. 15 at the Best Western-Starlite Village Inn in Fort Dodge; meeting is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with registration at 8:15 a.m. 

Crop Advantage brings the latest crop production information from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach each January. Each meeting includes key statewide topics, as well as a program developed by ISU field agronomists specifically for your region.
