The Calhoun County Courthouse and annexes will be open to the public for business starting on Monday, August 3. According to the Thursday release, the open hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. At 1 p.m., the doors will be locked and an appointment will be required. Passport and driver’s license services will continue to require an appointment.

The south entrance of the courthouse will be the only door unlocked from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Therefore, please use this entrance for both entering and exiting the courthouse.

Several parameters when conducting business at the courthouse and at the annexes are as follows: Use of masks will be required upon entry to any county building, hand sanitizer will be available for use in every office, maintain social distancing while waiting for service and depart the building when you complete your business.

For your safety and convenience, the drop box located near the south entrance of the courthouse and vehicle side service in the south lot numbered parking spots will still be available. The county encourages people to do as much business as you can using these services, as well as, email, fax, online or by phone.
