Calhoun County Attorney Tina Meth Farrington told the Board of Supervisors July 10 that a rock broke the window on the front of her office July 4.
The rock, which came from the landscaping of a nearby business, “came through (the double-paned glass) and dented the wall behind (the front) desk,” Farrington said. “It kind of dampened the holiday spirit for us.”
Farrington said her security camera in the front captured an image of the rock coming through the window, while a camera out back recorded a person running away from the building just after the rock came through the window. She reported the vandalism to police and was working with her insurance and glass companies to replace the window.
For now, a piece of plywood covers the large window space.
