Better in Yetter: Tour showcases Iowa’s ag industry

From a working cattle farm to a Carroll winery, a few dozen Iowa and Nebraska residents got a close-up look at where their food is raised.
At the end of the daylong tour, which started Saturday morning in Urbandale and capped off with a dinner at the Dougherty family’s century farm between Yetter and Lake City, attendees were full of compliments about the experience.
“I did learn a few things,” Lisa Trudell of Omaha said. “Everything had a different aspect to it.”
Her husband, Tim Trudell, said he particularly enjoyed visiting the working farms.
