Ed Bird
Edward Bird, 77, of Webster City passed away on March 29, 2022, at Crestview Manor.
Graveside services will be at a later date at St. Francis Cemetery in Rockwell City. Palmer & Swank Funeral Home is serving the family.
Edward was born on April 4, 1944, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated in Fort Dodge, graduating from St. Edmond High School in 1968.
On June 8, 1968, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Moore, and the couple established their home in Rockwell City.
Ed was the Maintenance Supervisor for the Calhoun County Courthouse until his retirement in 2000. In 2015, the couple moved to Webster City. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Ed is survived by his wife Phyllis, children Lynette (Dan) Smith of Clarion, Jason Bird of Urbandale, granddaughter Kaylee Smith Tuttle, grandson Max Smith, sister Mary Augustine and special uncle John Christians.
He was preceded in death by his father Francis Bird, mother Leota (Crouse) Bird Moore, stepfather Merle Moore, sisters Shirley Larson and Jeannine McMahon.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
