For the next few weeks, the younger students of the South Central Calhoun Community School District will have something productive to do while the buildings are closed.

On Wednesday and Thursday, students from both SCC Elementary School and SCC Middle School are to pick up activity packets from their designated buildings.

The times for pickup at the elementary are from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Thursday’s designated times are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both pickup locations will be at the northwest door, where SCC Elementary Principal Nicole McChesney will hand out the packets.

SCC Middle School’s packet pickup is from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the northeast side of the building. Thursday will have two pickup sessions, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The district also announced on Tuesday that meals for kids will also run through April 30, with meals on Friday for this upcoming weekend. If you have signed up, but no longer need to participate due to the Easter weekend, you may contact (712) 464-7210, (712) 297-7341 or email ccollins@scc.k12.ia.us.
