Gerald Deluhery

Gerald Deluhery, 95, died on Monday, Nov. 1, 2021 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021 St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City. Celebrant will be Father Lynn Bruch and burial with military honors in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lake City.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at St. Marys’ Catholic Church in Lake City. Lampe & Powers Funeral Home in Lake City is assisting the family.

Gerald William Deluhery was born on Nov. 17, 1925 in Carroll to John and Ina (Minnehan) Deluhery. From 1950 to 1952, he served in the United States Army and on Jan. 17, 1953, Gerald married Lois Bean at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lake City. He worked as a farmer all his life until retiring in 1990. After retirement, Gerald worked various jobs helping other farmers and driving cars for Macke Motors in Lake City. He was a member of the Lake City American Legion and V.F.W.

Gerald is survived by his daughter Michele Deluhery of Lake City; brother Jerome (Elaine) Deluhery of Jefferson; brother-in-law Daryl (Dorothy) Bean of Lake City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Lois.
