If you want to get out of the house and enjoy the summer weather, there are a couple of things that you can do around Calhoun County for the Fourth of July holiday.

The 31st annual B.R.A.L.S. (Bike Ride Around Lohrville Slowly) and the Twin Lakes Fireworks Show will headline the festivities going on around the county on Saturday.

The bike ride around Lohrville is slated to accept registrations at noon at Pug’s Pub and begin at 1 p.m. in downtown Lohrville. There is a “bring your own beverage” policy, a means to haul coolers for riders and a poker run for a small fee.

However, no motorized vehicles are allowed on the bike ride.

“We are still having it,” said Jill Parker, who helps organize the bike ride. “If someone doesn’t accept the ride as a form of social distancing, we advise them not to come.”

The fireworks, which are shot from the northern end of North Twin Lake, are scheduled to start at nightfall.
