Volunteers needed

On Friday, June 6, Relay Iowa will pass through Lake City. Relay Iowa is a group of teams of up to 12 people (including a local team) who run continuously for three days from Sioux City to Dubuque, for a total of 339 miles.

The Pool Project will be sponsoring a food booth and offering showers for the runners and their support teams as they pass through Lake City. Volunteers are needed to prepare sub sandwiches on Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. (at the Community Building) or to staff our booth (on the square) and showers (at the high school) later that evening from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. Saturday morning.  If you are willing to volunteer your time, please contact Marci Duncan at duncanms5@yahoo.com or 464-3670.
