Rockwell City – Vernon D. “Smiley” Williamson 79, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 17, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Rockwell City, with Fr. Brian Danner officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at St. Francis Cemetery, with Military Graveside Rites by the Rockwell City Veterans Organization. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City, with a Parish Rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a Vigil for the deceased at 7:00 p.m.
