South Central Calhoun’s varsity football team took one more big step forward in its quest for the Class 1A, District 7 district championship with a big 41-6 homecoming victory over Manson Northwest Webster in Lake City Friday, Oct. 2.
“I thought our kids came out focused tonight and really controlled the game from start to finish,” said SCC head football coach Bryan Case. “We were fighting some sickness this week and I thought our backups did a nice job of stepping in and filling some major roles.
“Anytime you can get a homecoming win, it’s a wonderful accomplishment. Now we’ll have to refocus and get ready for a road game at Madrid. It’ll be a tough place to play but our kids are looking forward to the challenge.”
