The Game time for the South Central Calhoun at Underwood varsity football game may have been pushed up 1.5 hours from the normal 7 p.m. start because of rainy conditions, but that did not keep the Titans squad from taking care of business in week seven of the Class 2A, District 7 season. The Titans held the Eagles to only 26 yards of total offense in a 42-0 shut out of Underwood in Underwood Friday, Oct. 6 as SCC improved to 5-0 in the district and upped its overall record to 6-1.
“Having a long bus ride, a 5:30 start and some adverse weather conditions made for an interesting trip to Underwood, but in the end, all went well,” said SCC head coach Bryan Case. “I thought our kids made the most of our opportunities Friday night and were able to block out all of the distractions. We seem to be taking steps forward and then a good thing to see heading into the final two weeks of the regular season. We’re looking forward to our trip to Red Oak next Friday night.”
The Titans scored three touchdowns in the first period and three more times in the second period to lead 42-0.
