Titan girls take second at Ross Samuelson Relays

South Central Calhoun’s varsity girls track team closed out last week with a second place team finish at the 2018 Ross Samuelson Relays in Lake City Friday, April 27 as the Titans scored 96 points, second only to Sioux Central’s total of 144 points. It was the final of four meets for the Titans last week as SCC also competed in meets at Holstein April 23, Ida Grove April 24 and Mapleton April 26.
“We ran our best meet of the season at the end of a four-meet week,” said SCC head coach Brian Knapp. “I’m proud of how tough our kids were this week.”
Top finishers for the Titans at the Ross Samuelson Relays including shot put champion Kim Daisy, who took gold for the Titans with a toss of 35-feet even.
