Titan girls survive standoff with Pocahontas Area

Cheers and boos hailed down on the players from No. 5 South Central Calhoun and Pocahontas Area in the third quarter The Jan. 15 matchup in Rockwell City came to a standstill.
With SCC in possession of the ball and Pocahontas playing a very relaxed man coverage designed to block the lane, both teams dared the other to blink first.
Three minutes went by without action.
“It’s one of those games they wanted to win at any cost possible,” coach Eric Francis said.
