Titan girls pick up two wins, place third at TLC golf meet

South Central Calhoun’s varsity girls golf team had a busy week on the links as they played two dual meets as well as in the 2014 Twin Lakes Conference golf tournament.
The Titans concluded the week with a 197 to 203 victory over Newell-Fonda at the Newell Golf Course Thursday, May 8. Katie Welander was runner-up medalist at the meet with a 47.
SCC’s Kelsi Carlson was third with a 48 while Sadie Swank finished with a 49 and Julia Seil rounded out the team card with her 53. Jona Grodahl (56) and Jennifer Hood (62) also saw varsity action at Newell.
On Tuesday, May 6, the Titans defeated Laurens-Marathon at the Laurens Golf Club 203 to 242 as Sadie Swank was meet medalist with a 44 and Jennifer Hood was runner-up with a 51.
