Titan girls golfers complete busy week of action

It was a busy week of action on the golf course last week for the South Central Calhoun varsity girls golf team as the team saw action every day except Wednesday last week.
The Titans took on Pocahontas Area in Lake City Monday, April 23, faced East Sac County Tuesday, April 24 in Lake City, traveled to Dayton Thursday, April 26 to take on conference foes Southeast Valley, Sioux Central and Newell-Fonda, then hosted OA-BCIG at Twin Lakes Golf Course Friday, April 27, before closing out the week by competing in the 2018 OA/BCIG Tournament at Spring Lake/Sac County Golf Course near Lake View Saturday, April 28.
Against Pocahontas Area at Lake City Country Club April 23, the Indians defeated the Titans 212 to 226 as meet medalist honors went to PAC’s Jocelyn Johnson with a 47. SCC was led against PAC by Tiffany Poen with a 54 while Mariah Pagel had a 56, Kenzie Addison finished with a 57 and Kaylynn Kruckenberg rounded out the team total with a 59. Faith Wagner (67) also saw varsity action against PAC.
