It was a solid late afternoon for the South Central Calhoun boys cross country teams at the 2017 Bob Saunders Invitational hosted by OA-BCIG in Ida Grove Monday, Oct. 9.
The SCC varsity boys team won the team championship with 81 points while the JV team won the team title with 26 points. In girls action, SCC’s varsity team was eighth overall with 192 points.
“The kids really performed well in our first cold weather meet of the season,” said SCC head coach Brian Knapp. “Spencer Moon ran well. The boys varsity and JV teams both won team titles in a big meet. I want to mention Lily Christian, too. She is really coming on at the right time of the season.”
