Titan boys third at Gowrie, second at Manson track meets

South Central Calhoun’s varsity boys track team had a pair of meets hosted by conference rivals last week and the Titans were able to place third at the Southeast Valley Relays in Gowrie Tuesday, April 11, and grabbed second place as a team at the Brad Kruse Co-Ed Relays in Manson  Thursday, April 13.
In Gowrie, the Titans had three gold medalists, and took home second place in five other events. SCC scored 92 team points, which was tied for third place overall with Webster City as Madrid won the Class A title with 161 points.
Kody Case was a triple winner for the Titans as he won the 200 meter dash in 23.26 seconds, took first in the 400 dash in 51.54, and won the long jump competition with a leap of 20-feet, 9.5-inches.
